Valentine’s Day Crafts

Yes, it is now March and a little late to be posting about Valentine’s Day. Honestly, I just needed a place to post the photos I took of my kids!

There are so many cute crafts you could do with them and this one was the easiest (and cheapest) for us!

My kids LOVE stickers. And when I say love, that might even be an understatement. There have been many times that my 3 year old would get so mad and tantrum because we ran out of stickers.

Dude, there’s nothing I can do about it when you pull every sticker off of every page.

But like I said, they love stickers. So I figured, why not go tot he Dollar Store and buy some cheap stickers? If you know me well enough and know how I like to plan (with stickers) my kids are always wanting in on the action. Eventually, I would just buy $1 sticker packs from the Target Hot Spot section – you know, the place we all get trapped in when we first get into Target? Yes, the place that we all walk out of with about $50 worth of items when we just walked in for ONE THING.

Anyway, that’s a post for another day!

Since I am a scrapbooker/memory keeper, I have a lot of scrap paper and craft paper laying around. I dug through my piles of craft paper and decided that I could pull all of the pink and red ones to make some hearts! And that’s easy. We all learned how to cut out paper hearts in like kindergarten, right? Maybe? Well, I almost forgot how to do it. But thankfully I remembered!

These hearts made a great backdrop!

I also got pretty into card making over the past year so I had some packs of cards that are colored on the outside and blank not

the inside. The package of cards that I bought were from Michael’s. Sometimes they are the “hot buy” item and you can get them for even cheaper than they are originally. And they’re pretty cheap as it is.

So, I set up a little area for them, got out the cards, some crayons, washi tape (also from my collection of craft items), and the stickers and they went to town. I will definitely say that the attention span of a 1 year old at this point isn’t very long but it was enough to get a few photos!

I always see posts from other bloggers with these cute and elaborate set ups. You can TOTALLY do that if you’re not lazy (like me) but just know that you can have fun with the things you already have and just a couple sheets of stickers from the Dollar Store.
